The Committee members of Persatuan Alumni USM, Wilayah Persekutuan & Selangor (AUSM WPS) were in Bali, Indonesia from 30 July to 2 August 2006. The 4-day retreat to this mystic island was by courtesy of its President YB Senator Dato Riduan Abdul Hamid (HBP ’79 .) The task was to brainstorm on Sireh Pulang Ke Gagang - the alumni association’s signature biannual dinner. It marks it’s 7th edition this year, on November 26 at the PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
The retreat? It has been rewarding in more ways than one.
“Not only was the brainstorming productive, the retreat also fired up team spirit and commitment to a level that is most encouraging,” Dato Riduan.
“It was no doubt a good kick-off for SPG VII, “ Datin Huzaimah Mohamed (Humanities 74)
“The retreat also served to close ranks between the members, ranging as far as 30 years apart in age…it solidifies the team..” Quah Eng Hock (HBP 80)
“The big brothers and big sisters have always been “mesra” at the meeting table but the bonding comes during the travel..” Radin Fairuz Radin Baidawi (Mechanical Engineering 2000)
